Privacy Policy

TeleprompThor doesn’t collect any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your voice is processed on your device and is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere.

This policy explains what the TeleprompThor app for iPhone and iPad (“the app”) does with information on your device. The app is published by Hello Bard AS (“we”).

Your voice

Voice follow uses the microphone to hear you read, so the script can scroll with you. Speech is turned into words by Apple’s speech recognition, running entirely on your device. Audio is processed as you speak and then discarded. It is never recorded, saved, or sent to us, to Apple or to anyone else.

The app only listens while voice follow is running in the prompter. It stops when you pause, close the prompter or leave the app.

The first time you use a language, your device downloads that language’s speech model from Apple. This download comes from Apple and contains no information about you or your scripts.

If on-device recognition fails, the app may ask for speech recognition permission. iOS’s wording for that permission mentions sending audio to Apple, but the app only ever uses on-device recognition.

Your scripts

Scripts you write, paste or import are stored on your device. If you’re signed in to iCloud, they’re also kept in your private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices. Apple holds this data under its own privacy policy. We can’t see, read or access it.

Files you import are read on your device. We don’t keep copies.

Settings and free sessions

Your prompter settings, such as text size, colours and speed, stay on the device and aren’t synced.

The number of free voice-follow sessions you’ve used is stored in your device’s Keychain and in iCloud key-value storage, so it carries over between your devices. It is a single number and isn’t linked to your identity.

Purchases

The Voice Follow unlock is an in-app purchase handled by Apple. We don’t receive your name, email address or payment details. The app only asks Apple whether this purchase is active on your Apple Account.

What we don’t do

  • No accounts or sign-in.
  • No analytics, advertising or tracking, and no third-party code that does these things.
  • We don’t sell, share or receive any data about you.

If you choose to share crash reports and diagnostics with developers in your device’s settings, Apple may pass anonymous crash reports to us. You can turn this off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

Deleting your data

Deleting a script removes it from your device and from your iCloud. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. You can remove synced scripts in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
